McDowell Flooring Covering has been serving Eastern North Carolina for over 20 years. We believe in treating our customers like family, and we take pride in providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for all our clients.
Robert worked for Mr. Edgar Hibbs of Hibbs Carpet and Furniture in Newport for about 30 years. Robert was a flooring installer who installed carpet, vinyl, wood, laminate and ceramic. When Mr. Hibbs died and we decided to open our own store. McDowell Floor Coverings came into existence in 2002. Our first building was on Trade St. in Havelock and we then built the building at 273 Hwy. 70 West where we opened the building in 2005. We try to carry all flooring that the community would like to have in their home. We carry commercial and residential. Our customers become part of our flooring family. Products we carry are carpet, vinyl, LVP and LVT, ceramic, wood (solid and engineered). We are opened Monday thru Saturday.
